Buddy is a 13-year-old Golden Retriever who spent her entire life with her best friend Hannah Foraker. However, when Hannah turned 21, she joined the army and left for basic training in Oklahoma.
Hannah felt sad leaving her beloved furry friend and her horse, Derby. Therefore, when Hannah returned home for Christmas after completing three months of basic training, she was thrilled to reunite with Buddy. Buddy was equally ecstatic and couldn’t contain her joy and enthusiasm upon seeing Hannah again.
Hannah and Buddy have been inseparable since Buddy was a puppy. Despite Buddy’s old age, arthritis, and deafness, she eagerly awaited Hannah’s return and gave her the warmest welcome. When she saw Hannah after three months apart, she buried her head in Hannah’s lap and began to cry tears of joy. Hannah was deeply moved by the emotional reunion and began to pet her beloved companion.
“We opened the front door and she ran towards us and greeted me and my family, but then stopped and came back to me,” Foraker said.
As you can see, Buddy is a perfect example of how loyal dogs can be. They never forget those they love, and they offer “unconditional love”. Therefore, we should take good care of our best friends as they are our beloved family members.
